CRM 2013 Microsoft prices out tiny guys
As Microsoft begins to roll out CRM 2013 we are sad to say that their pricing may be driving out some of the tiny businesses that can benefit from the Microsoft CRM 2013 solution. We have a number of small / tiny clients that are in the 3-5 person licenses, and now it appears that Microsoft will force them out by mandating that a minimum of 5 Professional licenses be required. Most of these “tiny” businesses are less than 10 MUSD per year and it will just not fit in their budget to allocate $325/ month ($3900/year) for the Microsoft solution. We can see why Microsoft has gone that way in that support costs are probably higher, and the revenue from them is tiny compared to Microsoft’s total, but we hate to see some client being locked out.
So for those not willing to pay $3900+/ year for their CRM solution we are looking at some alternates that are not as elegant, or as all encompassing, but may be able to give tiny companies a tool that is useful and modern.
